Details: Dental implants are increasingly becoming part of general practice. Patients are also expecting dental implants as an option to conventional bridgework. It is essential for the general practitioner to recognise when and where an implant can be placed, restore and referred if necessary. This talk will give an overview on treatment planning for dental implants and the long term maintenance of implants and the management of peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis.
