Abstract
This article will review the restoration of endodontically treated teeth. Restorative situations, restoration design, component selection, and component interfaces will be analyzed. Forces of the oral environment and their application on restored teeth will be reviewed. The article will also explore the interaction of forces on restorative components and their interfaces.

With today's adhesive dentistry, many practitioners question the necessity of using a post in the restoration of endodontic teeth. But, posts are still indicated in many of the teeth we restore that have undergone Endodontic treatment. We will address when to use posts, what factors should be considered to achieve better long term results when restoring endodontically treated teeth and techniques to use posts within the tooth.
