Adhesive Update 2009 - Where we are, where we've come from and where we're going
Presenter: Dr. Rob Ritter, DMD
CE Credits: 1
Release Date: 5/20/2009
Adhesive dentistry has changed the way in which we approach restorative dentistry. We are now much more conservative in our treatment planning and execution of delivering high quality, esthetic and long lasting restorations. Unfortunately, as the drive to make adhesives easier, faster, better, we can get lost in the marketing hype.
This lecture will review briefly where we have come from, where we are now with adhesives and where we are going. A look at the currently available generations of adhesives will be covered as well as the use of desensitizers. Differences between carriers, dual cured adhesives, self etching primers, diffusion restriction, isolation, dentin vs. enamel bonding, shear bond test strengths and the effects of sclerotic dentin will be covered in this informative, concise presentation.
An avenue for dental professionals to access links to a variety of free dental continuing education programs from various venues. New programs/opportunities will be added weekly. Please let us know if you find a link is no longer active or a course has been discontinued so that we can keep the list current. We also welcome your submissions.
